Structural steel falls under CSI Division 05 (Metals). Hercon also builds the Division 03 (Concrete) shell, so both can sit under one contract.
Layout first
Layout comes before steel is set. Hercon uses state-of-the-art layout equipment and total stations so the steel goes up in the right place the first time.
Structural steel erection
Erection is the field side of the steel package: setting columns, bringing beams and bracing into place, and making the welded, bolted and field connections that tie the structure together.
We work for the general contractor or developer, follow the site logistics, safety plan and sequence, and flag conflicts early instead of discovering them at the connection.
